Earth's seas began to form around 3.8 billion years ago, when the planet had cooled enough for water vapor to condense. But this process of the oceans forming is believed to have taken place over a very long period of time.
According to current scientific understanding, life first appeared on Earth around 3.7 to 3.5 billion years ago, with the earliest evidence of life being fossilized microbial mats found in rocks of this age and in chemical signatures of microbial organisms. (Some chemicals are formed only by living organisms.) But these were lower life forms lacking skeletons or brains.
When the earth originally formed it was far too hot for liquid water or any life to exist. This state continued for nearly a billion years. Before seas with temperatures and conditions conducive to life formed, there was no life on earth. Or at least no life as we know it, nor that has left any trace of its existence.

According to current scientific understanding, the first more complex organisms, such as eukaryotes, appeared around 1.7 to 2.0 billion years ago. This is when the first cells with a nucleus evolved, marking a significant step in the development of complex life. But these were also organisms without skeletons or brains.

If the most distant stars were not billions of years old, their light (which travels at a known speed) would not have reached us yet, and the night sky would be much darker.

Furthermore, the actual, factual claims have been made by scientists, many of them christians and other people of faith, not just “atheists.”
No one with any understanding of evolution is claiming that the earth is anywhere close to “10 billion years old,” or that there was life on a non-existent planet 10 billion years ago.
The human “great leap forward” came just an eyeblink ago, within the last 10,000 years. This included advancements like agriculture, irrigation, domesticated animals, cities, etc.
Thus, what many “flat earthers” believe about the facts of science is wildly incorrect.
According to current scientific understanding, animals with brains first appeared on earth around 520 million years ago during the Cambrian period, with fossil evidence of preserved brain tissue found in creatures from this era.

However, the actual order of creation is in complete disagreement with the bible’s fairytale.

Nor do all atheists believe the same things. Some atheists, along with other skeptics, believe the earth doesn’t actually exist and that we are trapped inside some sort of hellish virtual reality simulation, akin to The Matrix.
Let’s not create straw men then set them aflame.
Thus the bible’s “six days of creation” are wildly out of order. And why would a god who spoke things into existence need to rest on the seventh day?
